Resumo: The main goal of this report is an analysis of the spiritist social representations about the homosexuality in some literary and scientific spiritual texts, as well as in interviews with practitioners of spiritsm, particularly the matter of the acceptance or not of the discrimination. In such analysis, we seek to evidence the contradiction in the speech, as well as changes over time, adjustments to scientific changes and common sense, among others. It is also analyzed the compatibility between the texts of the founder of the spiritsm, Allan Kardec, and the contemporary exponents of the doctrine. Another goal is to verify whether there is what might be seen as the spiritsm view about homosexuality, or if there is only a position of several leaders in different times. This is important since the definition of spiritist religion is and the recognition of its practitioners is something that changes, being necessary to identify the nuances and trends. Seek contradictions between the spiritist’s speech in literary or scientific productions and the practices of the movement, i.e, if the speech that combines acceptance with something natural is in fact followed by a practitioner of the religion. To have that, semi-structured interviews are necessary to deepen the analyses and to have information that exceeds the ones that represent finished works. In terms of methodology, it is emphasized that this report deals with the analyses of the speeches, not only an analysis of the content, and in a qualitative perspective that seeks patterns and explanations of the speech, associated with its context. It is a research that mixes bibliographic elements with empirical, which allows to deepen or validate the conclusion. The report includes works written or overseen by the founder of the spiritsm, Allan Kardec, going to texts of Chico Xavier, national icon, to local leaders such as Benjamin Aguiar, based in Sergipe. For contemporary exponents, interviews, blogs and other sources available online are sources that enrich the research and allow the analyses of the theme form various perspectives., if they indicate its origins.
