It is well established that exercise exerts hypotensive effect, a fact that makes it an important method of prevention, control and treatment of High Blood Pressure (HBP), and to walk the best known exercise and recommended by the Family Health Strategy professionals (FHS ). Nevertheless, no studies have compared the hypotensive effect of a walking program and strength with a walking program on the blood pressure (BP) and the Quality of Life (QL) of hypertensive patients with more than 50 years served by the ESF. The objective of this study was to compare the effect Subacute of exercise on blood pressure and quality of life in hypertensive patients with more than 50 years served by the ESF of a small city. 118 individuals were randomized in hiking group and group walk more strength exercise. Before taking up the activities and after 12 weeks of intervention, hypertensive patients underwent an assessment consists of 5 steps. It was observed reduction in the values of blood pressure (BP) as well as a better score for quality of life in both groups, being more important in the group that underwent walking and strength exercise. |
