Research at the master's level has as its main subject the descriptive representation of the cultural film asset. Its concern is to be able to categorize it and make available to specialized users and researchers in Cinema, in the Information Retrieval Systems (SRI) or the current Digital Systems, search engines. Thus, the general objective is to propose the best practices for managing film information, with an emphasis on the descriptive representation of specialized film collections, enhancing the recovery of your information. Already, in line with the specific objectives are: to diagnose the situation of the information unit that will be the target of the intervention; use the parameters created in the TCC to represent the film information; disseminate adequate and universalizing principles to similar social environments; propose and execute the Information and Knowledge Management action plan for the Digital Production Center (NPD) Orlando Vieira, in the delivery of the Best Practices Manual for the management of Film Information and deliver the COVID-19 Manual: attendance of the NPD Orlando Vieira. In this way, among the various forms of classification, this research is presented as follows: as for nature, it is considered applied research; as for the objectives, it is exploratory; as for the approach, it can be classified as qualitative and as for the procedures, it is characterized as bibliographic and documentary. Thus, as a form of specialized intervention with the university and extramural community, the main product of the research will be a manual of good practices, in an internationalized format, for adoption in this information unit, taking advantage of the technological level and resources available in the information unit. The proposed intervention is part of the practices developed by the graduate program in Information Science, which is one of the first professional master's degrees at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) and the Northeast, in a system that brings the development of positive relationships, influence and extensions of academic activity in the community.
