Resumo: The county of Feira de Santana is unusual, compared to other municipalities of Bahia inside, due to its socio-economic dynamics and a peculiar population growth to a state capital. The vectors of a new post-70 spatial reorganization, especially the installation of Industrial Center Subaé (CIS), reconfigures the city of Feira de Santana, once cattle square and routes of herds, corrals and large open-air market in a city industrialized and trades and centralized services as an important financial hub, in Bahia. Population growth and the demand for housing, coming of this new reality, advanced in the countryside caused structural changes in the rural-urban interface and (re)creating ruralities, changing the perspective of analysis of rural space in the city. The methodological approach fits into the historical and dialectical method to verify the relationship of (re)peasant production and its contradictions from the ground rent of ownership on the capitalist logic and as the rural-urban relationship enables the creation of new socio-economic dynamics in municipality. We also use techniques of qualitative and quantitative research, using questionnaires, rural families in the districts of the city and we base the study on bibliographic analyzes and secondary data collection of specialized institutions. The results showed a number of structural forces at work in rural areas, coming from various sources and in the state space and urban dynamics, implemented by different actors. The theoretical study of the earth Income, in classic literature guided by Karl Marx's work was intended by presenting theories and concepts that support local practices in relation to the monopoly of land and subjection and subordination of peasant income to capitalism. This allowed us to outline a socioeconomic profile as well as diagnose the current condition of the peasant, while farmers, based on their workforce. This allowed us to evaluate which public policies are working among the peasants and how they enable the subordination of the plant for the appropriation of rent at the expense of demand for urban land in the fierce relation field-city in the municipality of Feira de Santana. Thus, it is necessary to change the perspective of analysis of municipal rural areas, and their view of organization, to develop public policies that pose interpret and act, in this space, in order to guarantee resistance and permanence of peasant families and its complexity today.
