This research seeks to provide a contribution to socio-anthropological insights into the religious representations of the disease and the therapies used by Kardecist Spiritulism. Falls under the category of approaches that articulate the theme of health, illness and healing with popular piety. To this end, it will use the theoretical framework that encompasses the broad social context and total referred to both the health, disease and religion. It is intended to assist in developing a conceptual field knowledge about the unofficial, within which to discuss issues involving the network of meanings about illness and healing, which permeates the religious doctrine Kardecist Spiritulism involving his cosmology concepts and fundamentals, as well as analysis of therapeutic practices used in addressing the problem.
