The natural and geographic environment are objects of study of the geography that seeks to understand and reflect on the actions of man. The "necrópoles" or "cemetery" is subject of the geographical science of environmental management directly related to the socio-spatial production. The present study approaches the theme of the cemeteries in the state of Roraima, with the objective of analyzing the implantation of the necropolis in places that present unfavorable socioenvironmental conditions from the investigation in the Municipal Urban Public Cemeteries of the South Region of the State of Roraima from 1995 to 2018, carrying out a characterization (profile) and verifying the possible environmental and public health risks arising from the location of cemeteries in urban and rural areas. The methodological focus of the research on the methods stands out the exploratory research, the qualitative and quantitative analysis, the Leopoldo matrix (adapted) and the analysis of the results in which the soil analysis and the resulting impacts of the cemeteries were carried out. The research is systematized in data collection procedures through bibliographical revision and documentary revision, addressing the "Historical Process of Death: the emergence of necropolis", "Urban Geography: socio-spatial characterization and the necropolis cities", "Environmental Geography: the dead and the anthropic actions of the living in urban public cemeteries "and" Environmental Legislation and Work Safety: necropolises and professionals of the cemetery activity. " Data analysis procedures are based on geographic hermeneutics, geospatial analyzes and specific analyzes of physical geography such as individual observation, unmanned interview and laboratory or field research, following the pre-field, field and post-field stages where were made the bibliographic survey, interview, data measurement, analysis and production of the results. Results obtained were that of the cemeteries surveyed it is evident that all do not meet the length of current legislation, requiring readaptation or deactivation. Based on the data and results presented, there is a need for discussions at the municipal level with the participation of professionals and researchers who are willing to contribute on this topic. In addition, to put in agenda in the construction of the Master Plan of the city the notes that cover about the necrópoles. The oversight of environmental agencies must be effective, including the monitoring of soil and subsoil, which are within these enterprises. Through a drainage system and necrochorume treatment, it would be possible to minimize the microbiological, viral and substantial contamination that can affect the water table of the region, which can cause contamination of the population that is in contact, as well as animals that do use of water. Therefore, defining the ideal soil for the implementation of cemiterial enterprises is not an easy task, since each site that is planned for the construction of cemeteries will need to take into account factors, climatic, relief, vegetation, hydrography, types of soil, rainfall, humidity, temperature, chemical and biological parameters and other important research variables from EIA-RIMA from the geographic spaces to which they are determined for the implementation of these enterprises and also to adapt the existing cemeteries in Roraima, promoting socio-environmental quality of life to society roraimense.
