Resumo: | The purpose of this study was to analyze the 4th year science textbook, used in the Municipal School of Primary Education Teacher Glemíria Gonzaga Andrade, in the municipality of Boa Vista-RR, in 2017, in order to examine whether Environmental Education is in line with the current of social criticism. The research also aimed to understand the public education policy that was implemented in the municipality, which is Structured Teaching, prepared by the Instituto Alfa e Beto (IAB), in order to understand how it has interfered in the way the Environmental Education in the Municipal Education System, because the didactic book of Sciences is one of the instruments used to realize it. The method of research and analysis was the dialectic, with a qualitative approach, using the technical procedures of bibliographical, documentary and participatory survey, with field research, where questionnaires were applied to 4th grade teachers, who teach classes in the school where case study was carried out. The result showed that the Science textbook presents contents related to Environmental Education, however, approaching it in a way that is far from what is thought by a critical and emancipatory EA, containing several "areas of silence". |
