Resumo: | Investigates the limits of the sacred in hypocratic nosology shown in the treatise The Sacred Disease. At first, this thesis is a study about the treatment of this theme by the theorists. Secondly, there is an analyse of the influences of the laicization process in the political world inside the classical literature sphere. Finally this seeks the ‘where’ and the ‘how’ in the Corpus Hippocraticum and, specially, how the Treatise The Sacred Disease is included in thise process. Among many treatises analysed, the laicization of the disease is considered under a perspective of a axiological nuance basically perceived in the relation between novmoς and fuvsiς, and construted by tevcnh. This thesis also presents a new translation of the treatise, fundamental condition to this study. The place of The Sacred Disease in the Corpus hippocraticum is also viewed– specially in front of Airs, Waters, Places – to determine the importance of its representativity in the Corpus hippocratcum and its contribution to the western thought. |
