Resumo: | Photovoltaic solar energy has been growing significantly in the world, and its expansion has taken place both via large centralized plants and via distributed generation. This work, through a methodology that included the sampling of more than 1,100 rooftops spread across Brazil, estimated the potential of distributed generation in the commercial and services sector in the country. The availability of data drove the choice of the sectors that were studied (basic education, bank agencies and gas stations). Aside from the sampling analysis, a quantitative approach focused on the specific sectors (basic education, banking and gas stations), including aspects related to technologies, meteorological inputs, capital expenditure, operation and maintenance cost and cost of capital, in order to quantify not only the technical potential but also the economic potential involved in these cases. Therefore, this study can be a platform of analysis for other service segments in future research. |
