Resumo: |
This research has a regional approach involving four municipalities emancipated from Pelotas: Capão do Leão, Morro Redondo, Turuçu and Arroio do Padre. The study identifies and compares the changes in architecture and urban morphology before and after emancipation. The central hypothesis is that changes in the architectural heritage, with the inclusion of buildings constructed after the emancipation, does not reinforce the original identities of these urban areas. Additionally, the research shows that the director plans and the laws contribute partially for the relationship between new constructions and old buildings, being contradictory rules between the preservation of architectural heritage and the proposed urban indices. Finally, the study concludes that the relationship between old buildings and new municipalities tends to a universal language, so the cities studied here are on the list of contemporary cities. |
