This work aims to investigate the reality of young in Vila Ipê subdivision, leisure options and the influences caused by the stigma that was constructed violent place. For this, we have considered philosophically methodological assumptions of Historical Materialism Dialectic, guided by the suggestions of Triviños (2008) for the development of a research line in Dialectic, outlined in the following three stages: contemplation alive and the analysis and the concrete reality of the phenomenon. The instruments used were questionnaire with open, free observation and semistructured interview, with the subjects, young people between 14 and 19 years residing in the subdivision and are studying or have studied at the at the School Hall Elementary School Ruben Bento Alves. To achieve this study, firstly, the delimit reality and the peculiarities of Vila Ipe in the context of Caxias do Sul, demonstrating the importance of understanding their dynamics and their development. Apart from training and urbanization of the community, we emphasize the school as a reference and leisure as deprivation, two of its singularities. In this context, we seek the understanding of one aspect of this reality, which stands out in a general way to refer to Vila Ipe caxiense in society, that violence is the stigma it carries. After this realization we present and analyze the speech of young people, from data obtained in field work, where they show how they understand the reality in which they live. or this, we highlight the following categories: "the perception of Vila Ipê as a place of residence", "leisure options for young people in allotment" and "stigma of violence and its consequences." The understanding of these categories is through the apprehension of the general appearance of the work, which is the stigma of violence. From this, we understand the perception that young people have of where they live, seeking part of everyday life that are the options of leisure, where, beyond description, which questioned its relationship with violence, where we define and point to his annoyance the actual developments that promotes stigma. We arrive at the final consideration with the understanding that young people understand the process of stigmatization of the subdivision, but this is not realized within the community, because in spite of having this mark, the young show like living in Vila Ipê, having a significant relationship with him. Thus, even if public policies justify violence in the border regions from the absence or lack of leisure options, we did not find this evidence, as the youth brand despite the social and shortages of opportunities, find strategies to overcome this deficiency , but the stigma remains evident in society. Thus, we find some of its consequences, especially when out of the subdivision, the young are in school or employment situation |
