Resumo: Studies with focus in professional formation of Physical Education s teachers have being increasing recently. It appears that there is a concern with Initial formation, Continuing formation and with docents professional trajectory and docents life trajectory. Therefore, the objective of the study was to investigate the process of construction of Continuing Formation in Municipal Administration s Desporte and Education Bureau proposals, offered to Physical Education teachers, after the implementation of the Law 9.394/1996 (LDBEN) until the year of 2011. As specific objectives, on seek to investigate the process of administration of public politics about Continuing Formation; to search into the pedagogical co-ordinators belonging to Physical Education and to build a time line about the Continuing Formation proposals which are offered by SMED to Physical Education teachers, between the years 1996 and 2011. The research was characterized by the qualitative approach, using the procedure of case study. Thirty-three documents were analyzed, five subjects (individuals) who occupied the pedagogical co-ordinator function in the area of Physical Education and also two municipal gestors were investigated. The research revealed that the process of Continuing Formation, since 1996 until recent days was not a linear process, but a process of sinuous manifestations, that is, with rises and falls , mainly related to the king of management. It was apprehended that the articulation/political performance of the involved individuals in this process may have been a factor of easing the management of policies of Continuing Formation of teachers. The trajectory of pedagogical co-ordinators formation is similar, since the initial formation to the pos-graduation. All the individuals were in the stage of career diversification at the moment in which were in office
