Resumo: The purpose of this dissertation is to reflect on the dialogue between the Sciences of Religions and Theology. It was developed from the understanding of Theos and logos in the relation between myth and science. Therefore, we analyze myth and reality as a contribution to the hermeneutics of demythologization, in a facilitating perspective of the dialogue process between the Sciences of Religions and Theology, in the academy. We approach the idea of demythologization as a method of understanding myth according to thinkers such as Rudolf Bultmann and HansGeorg Gadamer. However, demythologization does not mean denying the myth. The existential interpretation given in this study to this phenomenon was based on man's understanding of his own existence. Finally, we deal with philosophical hermeneutics as a process for the dialogue between Theology and the Sciences of Religions, observing Public Theology as a discipline, source and endowment of meanings. Thus, we propose, for this dialogue, the study of Theology, seeing it as an area of knowledge that deals with questions related to the divinity, aiming to collaborate to deepen the research in Religious Sciences.
