Such measures reached the educational scope and, more specifically, universities, in which both teaching and other academic and administrative activities were transferred, when possible, to the remote form. In view of this situation, the present study sought to analyze the advantages and disadvantages perceived by technical-administrative servers in remote work during the Covid-19 pandemic, through exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. In the professional sphere, In addition to the expansion of the use of technology as a factor that favors social control, transparency and the effectiveness of public services. In addition to saving time in commuting, fuel and the possibility of concentration and a greater ease of balancing personal life with work were some of the points listed as favorable. The unfavorable ones were the different working hours, the interaction with other servers, communication failures and the lack of regulations and guiding documents resulting from the emergency insertion in the remote work modality.
