Resumo: This dissertation had as main objective to identify the Entrepreneurial Skills profile of small traders from the São João Party from Campina Grande, Paraíba State of Brazil, under the Popular Economy perspective. To obtain the data, interviews were carried out, from a semi-structured script, junwith twenty-nine small traders working in the “Parque do Povo”, during the feast of São João of the mentioned city. The speeches obtained with the application of the interviews were categorized under the content analysis perspective (BARDIN,2007). The categories and subcategories of the work were defined a priori, being that the three established categories correspond to the three specific objectives of the research and the subcategories correspond to the questions of the interview script. The results obtained showed that those surveyed, on average, have been working at Parque do Povo for 17.65 years and most of them have only incomplete elementary education, the female gender having presented more years of study. Respondents work with family, friends and employees and declare themselves as selfemployed. They associate the term “management” with practical experience, investment, expenses, organization, functions and specifics of their activities. In addition to its historical relevance, the party provides many workers with the opportunity to earn or increase income (even seasonally) and have visibility, which gives you the chance to expand your business and maintain an enterprise throughout the year. Regarding the knowledge necessary to carry out the work, the results revealed that these come from previous work experiences, practical experience and some empirical cases. Finally, the survey showed that most respondents are part of at least one of the three associations linked to the party and that these associations seek collective claims in favor of common objectives to the members, having statute and internal regulation.
