Resumo: This research has as subject the analysis of space s production and appropriation of intra-urban borders in the city of Recife Pernambuco, through the real estate dynamic in the neighborhoods of Tejipió and Sancho. The main objective is to understand the land use and occupation in the limits of the city, noting the implications generated by agents-producers of this space considering the period between 1980 and 2010. For the understanding of processes in the area, we used some concepts that serve as base to the discussion, as: intraurban space, peri-urban spaces, land and real estate dynamics, through empirical research and socio-spatial analysis of agents (proprietors and renters) that compose the dynamic of real estate in the neighborhoods / object of study. We used as analysis tools for the spaces of intra-urban border, an iconographic support, statistics data obtained from the planning agency of Recife and data generated by field work during two periods. The results obtained by the research points out to the existence of an intra-urban border with different characteristics compared to other borders of the city of Recife, indicated by population density and constructive levels, area residents who have familiar incomes and higher levels of education, formal real estate investments and consolidation of vertical gated-communities, urban equipments that interfere in the real estate dynamic and a real estate market that grows with low interference of the public sector.
