Resumo: The complexity regarding the assessment of learning, as part of the pedagogical processes, is the subject of debate, studies and reflections that attempt to contribute to the consolidation of continuous assessment practices, which considers enclosing the specifics of the teaching and learning, built on the interaction between subjects. This discussion on Youth and Adults education highlights as far as the research claim that the assessment of learning in a traditional conception and therefore is classifying and excluding one of the mainstays of dropout youth in childhood and adolescence. This research proposes to analyze the shared meanings about the assessment of learning among teachers who work in the National Programme of Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education in the form of Youth and Adults, in the Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology Paraíba - Campus Cajazeiras. For this, we rely on the theory of social representations, from the perspective of Moscovici and colleagues to understand that they govern our choices and decisions. We have been used the focus group technique for data collection. The profile of the subjects has been made from observation and application of a structured interview. We have been used the content analysis from the perspective of Bardin for the data analysis. The results bring us the realization that, although the theoretical knowledge on the assessment of learning, designed to critically and referenda enclosing the speechteacher, is still strongly present a traditional view of evaluation, built throughout their life stories and in our teaching practices.
