Resumo: Domestic violence understood as synonymous with violence against women is a phenomenon of multiple determinations, defined as any act based on gender relations that results in physical and psychological harm or suffering to women. It refers to the hierarchy of power, domination and suppression of desires of the other. Can be used sometimes consciously in marital relations, the violation of human dignity in its entirety, as a mechanism for subordination of women to partner. It is known that the concept of quality of life is a dynamic concept, broad, subjective and polysemic and it would be the sum of factors resulting from the interaction between society and environment, affecting life in relation to their biological and psychological needs. The quality of life therefore involves organic levels, psychological, social, behavioral, and structural materials. The objective was to analyze the association between domestic violence against women and the quality of life. This is a Household Survey to cut in health care of women, exploratory, with a quantitative approach. It was conducted with 427 women living in the city of João Pessoa. In view of Resolution 466/12 of December 12, 2012, the National Health Council, after explaining the objectives, the women who agreed to participate signed the Term of Free and Clear. It is worth noting that the research project was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the University Hospital Lauro Wanderley and obtained approval under CAAE n ° 20418813.0.0000.5183 in August 2013. It was used for decision-making purposes the model of logistic regression. It showed that the prevalence of domestic violence against women in Singapore estimated at 54%. It was found that women in this study have a low quality of life (61.59). The variables used in the model only those relating to the domain of social relations, overall assessment of quality of life, safety and medical treatment provision were statistically significant. The repetition of VCDM with its shocking consequences ineffable leaves marks on women, undermining their self-esteem and directly influencing the quality of life, according to data from this study.
