Resumo: | Introduction: Infants with Cleft Lip Palate need personalized support and care in order to meet their feeding needs and maintain survival and quality of life. The educational technology is a strategy to guide the family's behavior and decisionmaking regarding breastfeeding. Objective: To build and validate an educational technology on breastfeeding infants with cleft lip and palate. Methodology: Methodological study carried out in two phases: the systematization of the content carried out through an integrative review and the construction of the booklet supported by the research findings; and, validation of the booklet by specialist judges and target audience. To assess the validity of the material, the Content Validity Index was used. The research began after the project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee under opinion nº 4.710.973 and CAAE nº 45086421.0.0000.5183. Results: The educational technology was developed in a clear way, with simple images and capable of expressing relevant information that is easy for readers to understand. The Content Validity Index under analysis by the specialists was 0.83 and 0.96, according to the assessment of the target audience, which makes the booklet valid in terms of content. Final considerations: The educational technology can promote the empowerment of mothers of children with this type of malformation and enable adherence to breastfeeding. Based on this technology and its guidelines, it is expected that children can benefit from all the advantages of breastfeeding. |
