This research aims to perform an analysis of the Cantata Bruta concert, held at the end of October 2011, at the old Cine Banguê do Espaço Cultural, in João Pessoa-PB. Interest in this theme arose from the fact that this work was based on a selection of short stories from Waldemar Solha's A História Universal da Angústia. We have, therefore, a literary work on which a rereading was made, being transformed into music. We seek to understand how the transit between these languages occurs, understanding, in addition to this process of intersemiotic translation, how they dialogue with the concepts of anguish and violence. As a guideline of this research, we use the Russian extraction semiotics, better known as Semiotics of Culture.
