Resumo: | This study consists of the study of an area of Geomorphology in rapid development, namely, Urban and Anthropogenic Geomorphology, which deals with the analysis of landforms resulting from direct or indirect anthropogenic activities, and which is important and crucial for society, because analyzes the bases on which are built the elements of city, work, leisure, housing etc. For this study, a specific area corresponding to the central sector of the Metropolitan Region of João Pessoa was selected, more specifically three municipalities: Cabedelo, João Pessoa and Conde, in which the study of Urban and Anthropogenic Geomorphology was carried out. By combining several methodologies, including those by Ross (1992), Ford et al. (2010), Peloggia et al. (2014a), Del Monte et al. (2016) and Cappadonia et al. (2020), and guidelines found in the literature, it was possible to make a geomorphology map with a focus on anthropogenic forms that synthesized all the analysis carried out and directed part of it. The final map contains four main types of artificially constructed ground, which are the made, worked, infilled and landscaped technogenic grounds, in which some types and units of anthropogenic landforms have been identified and analyzed, such as: landfills for highways and railways, different types of technogenic deposits, forms related to mining or superficial excavation of ground, forms related to anthropogenic changes in river channels, technogenic plains, agricultural areas on anthropogenic terraces, among others. The importance of such mapping for the selected municipalities is due to the fact that they can use the data of this research for urban and/or environmental planning purposes, considering that some areas of geomorphological risk have also been identified due to urban occupation or installation of economic activities over certain geological-geomorphological units where the risks are imminent |
