Resumo: In a global business context characterized by dynamism and competition, mergers and acquisitions, emerge as significant events capable of influencing both the course of acquired organizations and the behavior of their members. Brazil, in turn, has played an active role in this scenario, participating in domestic and international transactions driven by economic strength, and political and financial stability. Despite the substantial opportunities they offer, these processes also face challenges such as the integration of corporate cultures, resource management, and employee concerns, particularly in the case of a company undergoing its first international acquisition and seeking to ensure its market presence and talent retention. Given the above, the general objective of this research is to identify the perception of the employees of the coatings company regarding the acquisition process. The methodology used was a case study in the coatings company, with a quantitative approach, characterized as descriptive and survey-based, applied in nature, with a prospective and cross-sectional temporal dimension, including a literature review. This research was conducted in a large Brazilian industrial organization that underwent the M&A process. The population for this study consists of employees in the administrative sectors, with a sample of 119 employees. The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program through descriptive and factor analysis, with the results presented via graphs and tables. The main results indicate that in most constructs, employees showed a positive or neutral perception of the acquisition, except for communication between the acquired and acquiring companies, which will require the acquiring company to invest more efforts in improving communication, as this was the construct with the worst performance.
