The algorithm concept means as set of instruction to resolve one logic problem. This work aims to apply this concept in the analysis and composition based in Direct Instruction. The Direct Instruction is type of score in the form of verbal instruction form, used by describle the performing action or to indicate compositional operation. As a metodology we presents a formal discussion, based in the bibliographical survey about the concept of algorithm and musical notation, comparing them and establishing their similarities or differences. In addition to this, we analyze the main idiomatic aspects of the Direct Instruction from case studies: a) the four brazilian pieces from the 1960s, verify their formal notation aspects and b) four brazilian pieces from the 2000s, interviewing her composers, discussing the creative process based on Direct Instruction. At the end of reasearch we present as an application in the composition of seven pieces based the concepts studied.
