Resumo: | Increasingly, changes in society have become necessary, with regard to the relationship between human beings and the environment in which they live. For this, environmental education and socio-environmental management are tools that prove to be of great value both for expanding knowledge and for decision-making and encouraging actions that can help transform reality. In this sense, the main objective of this work was to analyze the socio-environmental management practiced in the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), based on the guidelines of the A3P, with the aim of contributing positively to the socio-environmental management of said institution. To this end, the ten axes used in the UFCG Sustainable Logistics Plan - PLS were used as a basis, as well as the diagnosis model of the Environmental Agenda - A3P. It is a case study, exploratory-descriptive from the point of view of its objectives, of a qualitative-quantitative nature, whose data were collected from bibliographic and documentary research, interviews and questionnaires. Regarding data analysis, document analysis, content analysis and descriptive statistics were used as methods and techniques. As a result, it was seen that the team that makes up the PRPG showed interest in contributing to the socio-environmental management of their work environment, but showed no real knowledge of the socio-environmental actions applied, sometimes demonstrating doubts about the very functioning of the sector. The management, both the previous and the current one, indicated that socio-environmental management was considered important and the implementation of specific actions, which have been growing over time. In this way, we conclude that socio-environmental management takes place through specific actions, but that there is a lack of greater dialogue, engagement and organization in management and in the team. Thus, as a suggestion for improvement and contribution, a proposal for a specific socio-environmental management plan was created for PRPG/UFCG. |
