Resumo: | The Family Health Strategy (FHS) has been implemented in Brazil as an important strategy for the reorganization of health care. One of the characteristics that stands out in the FHS initial proposal concerns the actions of professionals who need to identify with a job offer that requires creativity, initiative and dedication to community work and group. Thus, dealing with professional satisfaction can trigger stress in the team, being necessary to know the factors of satisfaction, the level of involvement and commitment to the work of professionals. Therefore, this study aims to understand the perceptions, expectations and feelings of health professionals about the work of the Family Health Units (FHU), identify the factors of satisfaction and job dissatisfaction among health professionals; investigate and identify the job involvement and affective organizational commitment among professionals working in the FHS. It is an exploratory survey research, descriptive quantitative approach, carried out with 345 health professionals working in FHU 54 in the city of João Pessoa. The selection for the study followed the participants' acceptance criteria. To collect data we used three scales of well-being at work: Job Satisfaction Scale, Scale Work Involvement Scale and affective organizational commitment. For data analysis we used descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis. With respect to demographic characteristics of the sample, most participants of the study is composed of community health agents (44%), predominantly females (75%), aged between 19 to 39 years (45%), marital married (43%), with length of service at the FHU up to 7 years (67%). It was found that the factors of job satisfaction among health professionals working in the FHS are related to professional recognition, the social utility of the health service and the work itself, the love interest in work and organizational support. Since the factors of dissatisfaction related to the work overload and lack of psychosocial support. It was found that the majority of professionals surveyed identified with the tasks performed, but are not involved with the work, which leads to disengagement with the work to be developed. Professionals identify with and feel FHU proud to be part of it. Still, it is observed that the professionals who deal directly with the FHS do not experience the well-being at work, as they face real difficulties as to the work overload, lack of psychosocial support services and the organization of the health system in municipality, whose solution is independent of the isolated action of each. Therefore, the health managers need to ensure that health workers are satisfied with the process of moving forward in implementing the operational work of the SUS. |
