Resumo: Celebrations in June in our state and country, have become synonyms of a great spectacle and entertainment for those who visit the northeastern cities in Brazil at the time. Campina Grande in Paraíba, performs “O Maior São João do Mundo” that gains national projection around the legitimation of its own speech towards local media. This paper analyzes how the city’s traditional printed media translates and disseminates the festivities from daily life in daily journalism, seeking to contribute with the understanding of the journalistic coverage of Paraíba in face of cultural and regional subjects. By that, the periodicals Jornal da Paraíba and Correio da Paraíba were chosen in the years 2014 and 2015 to be analyzed from April to July on the fields of the news section, front page, Politics, City, Economy e Culture. The selection of the subjects was qualitative in nature, using the Content Analysis method, allowing the identification of frequencies and frames of the large amount of information of the object. The theoretical discussion is about daily theories and journalistic activity, from the dissemination of an event and the symbolisms contained in June celebrations that were spoken before. It was observed the predominance of factual coverage with guidelines on the event's programming as the source of institutional information – the city hall of Campina Grande. The repetitive framework adopted to publicize this cultural manifestation of popular festival demonstrates the representation of the party based on the representation of daily life as a break of routine and factual temporalities.
