Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze the execution of organizational processes in the Technical School of Health of the Federal University of Paraíba – ETS/UFPB. The theoretical framework included concepts about the management of higher education in public universities, process management, process mapping and flowcharts, exploring, among others, the studies of Bobbio (1994), Chauí (2001), Silva et al. (2014), Fraga, Faria and Gava (2015), Araújo (2017), Souto (2017), Cury (2017), Oliveira (2019) and Cruz (2021). As for the methodology, the research was characterized as bibliographical and documentary, qualitative, exploratory, descriptive and applied, to identify the processes of the studied unit and analyze them with a view to proposing improvements. The techniques for data collection were direct participant observation and document analysis. The documentary research was directed to the study of the Institutional Development Plan in force at UFPB and the documentation related to the work routine of the ETS/UFPB, according to the sample established for the research, having as sources: e-mails, systems through which the processes, reports, requisitions, terms of responsibility, forms, spreadsheets, guidelines, rules and regulations, which allowed the mapping and construction of the workflows of the organizational processes that were studied. Regarding direct participant observation, as the research was developed in the researcher's work sector, observation based on professional experience helped to obtain more details about how the execution of the processes follows according to who carries it out. In the treatment of the collected data, the methods of administrative analysis, process mapping and flowcharts were used. As a result, it was possible to identify the work processes of the analyzed sector, map the necessary information about the execution and workflows of the identified processes, build their flowcharts, to, finally, propose as a product of the research carried out, a document guide of the routines and procedures referring to the execution of the organizational processes of the ETS/UFPB, in order to contribute to the improvement of the management of public education in the context of the ETS/UFPB. |
