Resumo: An investigation of dialogic relations in the novel Menino de engenho and Meus Verdes Anos memories, by José Lins Rego (Zélin), which form a stylistic texture and that they can be applied in the chronometer, as constitutive relations of language, of the image of the author-creator and author-person in these genres. The theoretical-methodological perspective mobilized comes from the writings of the Bakhtin Circle; Dialogical Discourse Analysis, henceforth ADD, in dialogue with contributions from other authors; and literary studies on Brazilian modernism in the 1930s, including Bosi (2015). From a qualitative methodological perspective and an analysis of nature, we interpret the corpus that is formed by two literary productions by Zélins that dialogue with each other, namely, the novel Menino de Engenho (1932) and Meus Verdes Anos (1956).The analyzes reveal that these genres are formed by dialogic networks of agreement in relation to patriarchalism, regionalism, ingenuity, storytelling and childhood, which have the ingenuity as the main chronotopic space for the development of narratives. The author-creator represents, dialogically, the spaces of social and human formations, such as the main house and the slave quarters that dialogue with Freyre (2003). Thus, there are also dialogic relations of agreement regarding the dry period and the flood of the Paraíba River. They reveal the image of the author-person Zélins mainly through the (auto)biographical memorialism, present in both works, that is, the dialogic networks that artistically build the fictional world from his childhood social experiences on his grandfather's mill. The reasons, therefore, organize the facts that are narrated in the prose, among them, the following stand out: the reason for the encounter, which presents a greater degree of evaluative-emotional intensity, for example, in the novel, the encounter of the character Carlinhos with the grandfather, after the death of the mother; and the farewell, when the boy goes to school, at the end of the narrative. The reason for death also has an intense evaluative-emotional intensity in the development of the plots of the narratives. These motifs and others form the chronotopes of the mills and childhoods of the protagonists. The memorialistic/regionalist style is identified by the use of expressions that recover the ethical and cognitive life of the author-person, biographical values; and the diversity of heterodiscursive languages: regional dialects, insertion and stylization of oral narratives that form the discursive fabric of genres.
