Resumo: | This research has as its object of study some presentations of journalistic radio content as an alternative to what is produced and broadcasted on radio stations in the interior, discussing the citizen role of local radio and its contribution to regional development. The objective is to experience in-depth reporting as a new possibility for the practice of journalism on backcountry radio, addressing other newsworthiness criteria that are not adopted in the high Paraibano sertão programs. The corpus corresponds to a series of 4 radio reports with themes that are important for local development and that are not highlighted in the regional media. Qualitative research was chosen through the proposed series, aiming to ascertain the acceptance of the material produced by the Sousa population, aiming to realize a work that serves as a reference to rethink radio journalism in the sertão of Paraíba. The reports were prepared following the methodology of Dama (2008) for the production of radio reports with the necessary adjustments. During the work it was found that the press in the Sousa region, in most cases, addresses the editorial of politics, highlighting the protagonism or antagonism of a politician, insofar as themes relevant to regional development are discarded. The media's convergence of radio with digital platforms is a stimulus factor for the radio to attract new listeners, especially the younger audience. Concepts related to: radio journalism, big reporting, proximity journalism, newsworthiness and journalism in the countryside will be addressed. |
