Resumo: | The accelerated growth of cities has seen enormous progress since the mid-twentieth century, combined with an unbridled increase in demands for infrastructure, housing, transportation, health, education and several other items that make up the quality of urban life. From this perspective, research on the subject is gaining more and more importance and the socio-environmental impacts are directly affecting the atmospheric system, thus enhancing urban thermal discomfort with consequences for human health. Human bioclimatology analyzes the influence of urban climate on comfort and health, correlating it with the new urban agenda, which recognizes a connection between urbanization and sustainable development from a socio-environmental perspective, in line with the UN SDGs. The main objective of this research is to analyze the thermal comfort conditions of three urban green areas in the city of João Pessoa (Parque Parahyba, Praça da Paz and Parque Solón de Lucena) and their relationship with the population that practices outdoor physical exercises. In addition, the work proposes to calculate the thermal discomfort index of the investigated areas; Check the formation of urban heat islands; To analyze the thermal perception of the population that practices physical activities in the three public spaces investigated; Characterize the microclimatic conditions of the three monitored urban green areas and propose recommendations based on CONAMA resolution 369 (2006), which may help the environmental planning of public spaces intended for the practice of physical activities in green areas in the capital of Paraíba. In order to carry out the research, a bibliographical review of the theme in question was initially carried out and the geographical recognition of the areas investigated in the work was carried out. For the analysis of the thermal conditions, the variables temperature and relative humidity of the air were monitored in representative months of the dry period of the study area. Temperature and relative humidity data were collected in loco simultaneously in the three study areas using thermohygrometers (HOBO U-10). Measurements took place in the hourly interval (every 01 hour). For the evaluation of the thermal comfort conditions of the investigated environments, the Thon Thermal Discomfort Index was used and for the analysis of the population's thermal perception, a thematic questionnaire and physiological assessment (height, weight, blood pressure) of each interviewee were applied. The investigated population is an adult between 18 and 55 years of age and practitioner of regular physical activity in the monitored environments. The research results characterized the local climatic conditions and recommendations were proposed based on the CONAMA resolution, which can help in the environmental planning of urban green public spaces in the city of João Pessoa/PB. |
