Resumo: | Brazilian public education lives in permanent challenge, especially in the current scenario. In this study, we proposed to map the management policies aimed at promoting human rights within the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) from the adhesion to the National University Pact for the Promotion of Respect for Diversity, the Culture of Peace and Human Rights (PNUDH), to which the institution became a signatory in 2017, considering for this all the mechanisms consolidated in the internal regulations, whether ordinances, resolutions or even in the Statute and Regulation of the Institution, as well as in the official media of the same, with a focus centered on the “Management” axis of action. It is, therefore, a qualitative research, whose objectives led to an exploratory approach, through bibliographic and documentary methods, in which initially a brief historical overview of the emergence and development of human rights in the international sphere, in Brazil, is made, and in particular in the context of universities, and then discusses this process within the UEPB focusing on the institution's praxis from the adhesion to the PNUDH, seeking to identify and characterize the management policies implemented, verifying the institutional alignment to it and proposing a mechanism for visibility for these with wide reach for the entire academic community and society in general. |
