Resumo: | Recent studies have pointed to important interconnections between the regular practice of physical exercise outdoor (natural environments) and indoor (closed environments), subjective well-being and connection with nature, being considered as an important tool in improving people's health and quality of life, as well as in the combating the damages caused by the sedentarism and also in the incorporation of healthy habits associated to the physical exercise. The objective of the research was to investigate the relationships between nature, subjective well-being and health of outdoor and indoor physical exercise practitioners in the city of João Pessoa / PB. Socioeconomic data, body composition, connection with nature, subjective wellbeing (positive and negative emotions and subjective experience with exercise were analyzed in a sample of 300 practitioners of outdoor and indoor exercise. mean, percentage frequencies, Mann - Whitney test, Spearman 's correlation test, were analyzed by statistical programs r (version 3.4.1 and SPSS), with p <0.005 and 95% confidence interval, in addition to linear model analysis (AIC) and the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). Significant differences were observed by the Mann-Whitney test and Spearman's correlation test between the Outdoor Group and the Indoor Group with the Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR),% body fat, summation fatigue, well-being, positive affections, negative affections and connection with nature. group and beach group) significant differences in Body Mass Index (BMI) and negative affects. The Spearman test showed negative correlations between distress and well-being, fatigue and well-being, negative affects and connection with nature, negative affects and positive affects, Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR) and Body Mass Index (BMI), skinfolds and Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR); the positive correlations were between fatigue and distress, positive affects and well-being, negative affects and distress, negative affects and fatigue, Body Mass Index (BMI) and distress, skinfolds and Body Mass Index (BMI). These results demonstrate the relationships between outdoor / indoor exercise, environment, wellness and health, being an important parameter for the strengthening and expansion of training programs with physical exercises for the improvement and maintenance of health and quality of life of the population. |
