Resumo: | In the pre-classic period, the Aryan people colonizing the Ganges valley developed indigenous religious traditions based on Vedism, the birthplace of Buddhism. Starting on this geocultural scenario, the present paper aims to present and elucidate, diachronically, the historical-critical background i.e. the (de)construction of narratives throughout the transmission of the Buddha-dharma 仏法 in Mahāyāna Buddhism since its origin in India, through the transposition to China and continuing to Japan via the lineage of Eihei Dōgen Zenji 永平道元禪師 until its arrival in Brazil. Meanwhile, we adopt a methodology of epistemological qualitative nature, under tools offered by the theory of ethno-historiographical on cultural studies including two specific objectives: review, as comparative literature in the soteriology surrounding those who seek Zen 禪, the sociocultural settings that unfold during the emergence & disappearance of Buddhism for better understand the phenomenology of this Religion among other Religions; and identify emphatic points as hermeneutic interpretation on the Buddhist paradigm in the world of ‘Form’ (rūpa-dhātu 色界) versus its opposite manifestation, the ‘Emptiness’ (ārūpya-dhātu 無色界). Thus, bringing ad hoc authors in the Religions historicity, we write four chapters into a compact narrative along 25 centuries from Asia to the Americas, emphasizing Zen-bukkyō 禪仏教. |
