Resumo: The participation of the slums in the (re)production of the intraurban space has corroborated for the construction of the city as an urban network endowed with diversity, demanding studies on the complexity of the informal production. Therefore, the main objective is to develop an urban analysis of socio-spatial aspects of the Três Lagoas slum, located in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil, and as specific objectives: (a) To relate spatialization of local social practices to production and Appropriation of the public space; (b) To show and correlating physical aspects of urban morphology, land use and occupation; (c) Evaluate the temporal dimension of space and the changes that it causes in local socio-spatial dynamics; (d) Consider the relationship between social and physical aspects, based on an integrated data systematization. It is considered the hypothesis that the urban analysis of the sociospatial dynamics of a slum should consider the relationship between the physical, social and temporal aspects of space so that it can point to the local reality. The methodology adopted decomposes the empirical object into eight themes that, when synthesized through images and texts, culminate in a dimensional synthesis resulting from the comparative analysis of different time points of Três Lagoas between the years of 2013 and 2016. This investigation is justified by to add content about a geographic cut that has not been explored scientifically, and to contribute to the socio-spatial analysis of slums, in favor of improving the quality of life of residents and integration of the city. In general, the present research found that social practices and physical characteristics such as land use and finishing of buildings are constantly modified and interfere directly with the dynamicity and vitality of the local public space, ratifying the slums as a complex object of urban study.
