The present study had, as participants and focus, foreign language teachers, more specifically English Language, from the final years of the Municipal Education Network of Santa Maria/RS, who have in their class regency, target public students of Special Education. From this perspective, we have, as a research problem, the following question: what are the beliefs of English language teachers of the Municipal Education Network of Santa Maria/RS in relation to language teaching to included students, who are a target audience of Special Education? As a general objective, we seek to analyze the beliefs of these English language teachers regarding the teaching of this language to public students targeted by Special Education, with a view of understanding their beliefs in relation to the learning of these students. As for the methodology used in this research, it was characterized as a qualitative approach and descriptive nature. Data were collected through a questionnaire and interviews, the method used in the treatment of these materials was the critical analysis of the discourse. Furthermore, the data obtained were interpreted in the light of the legislation on inclusive education for students assisted by Special Education. |
