Resumo: |
This study, linked to the Graduate Program in Teaching Humanities and Languages at Universidade Franciscana, line of research Teaching and teaching practices, starts from the following question: How did the Covid-19 pandemic impact Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Alegrete, RS , and what teaching strategies were used in this period? Through the general objective, we sought to understand the impacts of the pandemic caused by Covid-19, based on the perception of managers and teachers of the municipal network of Alegrete, RS. Based on the methodology, with a qualitative and phenomenological approach, descriptive data related to the studied situation were analyzed, with the participation of 10 school managers and 10 teachers of Early Childhood Education in the city of Alegrete. To complement the information, the position of the Secretary of Education, Culture, Sport and Leisure of Alegrete (SECEL) was verified, in the voice of the Secretary in office, in the studied period. The dissertation, organized into four chapters, follows the following structure: in the first chapter, the theoretical foundations related to Early Childhood Education and its developments were considered, including the historical and legal framework, the processes of teaching and learning in childhood and Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Alegrete; in the second, references to the pandemic situation were promoted, addressing the origin and history of the Covid-19 pandemic, guidelines and school activities in the pandemic period and the description of the state of knowledge; in the third chapter, reference is made to the methodological description of the study and, in the fourth, the analysis and discussion of the data were organized, in which the impacts, strategies and lessons learned from the pandemic are highlighted. Five (05) lessons were identified: (i) Care for mental health and self-care; (ii) New ways of teaching, learning and working; (iv) Feeling of solidarity and love for others; (v) Uncertainties about life. It is concluded that the Covid-19 pandemic has had an immeasurable impact on Early Childhood Education in terms of teaching-learning processes. With this, it is to be expected that many children had their cognitive development compromised, especially when the family did not minimally meet the conditions for the child's learning, an essential stage that should be the richest and most creative of childhood. |
