Resumo: |
Women during pregnancy and postpartum experience extensive changes in different aspects which can affect their quality of life and expose their vulnerabilities, especially when returning to work. Objective: the study aimed to build a guide for welcoming and encouraging breastfeeding for women returning from pregnancy leave in the units of a teaching institution in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Initially, the documents existing in Brazil and the guidelines of the Ministry of Health were consulted and it was verified how this reception is currently carried out at the institution. Method: The participants in this research were women, mothers and servants, who were in postlicensing pregnancy at the Educational Institution. For the preparation of the guide, the following steps were considered: situational diagnosis, literature review for the selection, creation and organization of the content. The research method was transversal and quantitative qualitative, carried out through an online questionnaire for the participating mother/servant women. The period of data collection was April and May 2021 and the data were structured in Excel spreadsheets and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The study results were presented in two manuscripts. The first one aimed to report the situational diagnosis of the educational institution regarding the reception in their return from the pregnancy leave. The second one, the process of elaborating the guide for welcoming mothers and the first stage of validation. The elaboration process took place in stages, based on diagnostic research and can be characterized as a health management and promotion tool. Final considerations: The study provided theoretical foundation, expansion of knowledge on the topics covered as well as understanding the perception of servants/mothers regarding institutional care in the return of their pregnancy leave. Furthermore, it was possible to identify challenges and provide guidance and suggestions with the preparation of the technical product, which will serve as support in the Institution's teaching units. Technical/technological product: This is a Type 1 product, as classified by Capes, in the form of a Guide. The implementation of the guide for welcoming and encouraging breastfeeding can minimize the negative impact on the mental health of the servants, reflecting in a better performance at work. In addition, it is possible that it also has a positive impact on the baby's health. The development of educational care technologies is considered a transforming instrument of management processes once it guides knowledge about care practices. Thus, this product has easy applicability in the context of an Educational Institution because it requires few environmental and organizational changes and is of low cost. Monitoring and technical support will be provided periodically by the researcher, until it is fully implemented and after its implementation. |
