Resumo: Education and health actions carried out during pregnancy and childbirth, based on information technologies, contribute to favorable outcomes. The study is part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - reducing maternal mortality rates by 2030. It is also part of the Ministry of Health's Research Priorities Agenda: "Development of Technologies and Innovation in Health and "Maternal and Child Health" and the Digital Health Strategy 2020-2028, which seeks computerization at the three levels of care and the Digital Health Strategic Vision. Contemplated by the CAPES/COFEN Agreement - Call 08/2021 "Systematization of care and technological innovation in Nursing" and in an attempt to institute the use of mobile applications in educational practices during prenatal care, the following aims have been achieved Objectives: To analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the Maternal and Child Health Network in Brazil; Identify the main comorbidities affecting pregnant women in the municipality; Collectively build, with the Maternal and Child Health Network of the municipality of Cachoeira do Sul, a mobile application technology aimed at care in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle; to build audio visual materials to develop participatory education between the triad of professionals x pregnant women x support network.. Methodological path: This is an extended action research project, developed between April 2022 and October 2023, systematized in four stages: an integrative literature review, a survey of professionals in the maternal and child network, the development and validation of educational materials and a mobile application, based on agile production techniques. The work was carried out in cooperation with several areas: Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Information Systems, Journalism, Advertising and Innovation Environment. Results: The weaknesses in prenatal care in Brazil are mostly due to a lack of material and human resources. With this in mind, digital and information technologies are an important ally in the work and health care process. The content of the validated application obtained a CVI with an average value of 0.97, indicating the relevance of the "Fortalece prenatal" application as a contribution to the adherence and empowerment of pregnant women and, consequently, the qualification of prenatal care. Final considerations: There have been few studies of mobile applications providing guidance on the pregnancy-puerperium cycle. The data analyzed deals with breastfeeding, care during childbirth and/or with the newborn and monitoring fetal development. As a result, the "Fortalece prenatal" mobile application developed enhances the dialog between pregnant women and professionals and provides security in the conduct that governs care in the pregnancy-puerperium cycle. Product and its applicability: The app "Fortalece prenatal" has a significant impact on pregnant women, professionals and managers in the maternal and child health network. It will subsidize dialogue and strengthen the cooperation network, based on clear, objective information that is consistent with the best evidence in maternal and child health.
