Resumo: |
Introduction: During pregnancy, the experience of new feelings comes with the discovery of a new life, different habits and new social representations for the family. Interpersonal relationships make up the social support received by pregnant women and can be one of the social determinants of health. Social support has the potential to reduce social inequalities in health and build competent support for promoting the health of pregnant women and improving self-perceived health, based on the quality, frequency and availability of affective, emotional, material and information help. and positive social interaction at appropriate times. Self-rated health is a multidimensional health construct, as it considers general well-being resulting from physical, emotional, psychological, social, cultural and educational aspects and not only the absence of disease. Objectives: to verify and understand the influence of social support on women's self-perception of health during pregnancy and, in order to increase social support for pregnant women, to create a mobile application for women during pregnancy. Methodology: quantitative and qualitative study nested in a cohort study on oral health of pregnant women and their children. Initially, a closed questionnaire was applied on the educational, socio-cultural and social support profile, and subsequently, a semi-structured interview was conducted about the perception of health and social support for some of the pregnant women participating in the initial stage. The quantitative phase was analyzed using statistical analysis using the STATA 14 program. Qualitative responses were recorded, transcribed and analyzed according to the thematic content analysis proposed by Braun and Clark (2006). As a product, the prototype for the Apoia mobile application was built, based on the SCRUM production model for the Android operating system. The creation of Apoia was based on obtaining the results of this research. This technology was developed in partnership with the undergraduate course in Computer Science at the Franciscan University (UFN). Results: presented in the form of two articles. Scientific article 1 indicates that social support influences women's self-perceived health during pregnancy (PR 0.83; CI 95% 0.71-0.98) and this is explained by the 14 fact that, when they feel supported, especially, emotionally and affectively, they are motivated to self-care for health, which leads them to healthier lifestyle habits during this period. This seemed to reflect a good self-perception of good health. Article 2, with the presentation of the prototype for the technological product, shows that Apoia provides an innovative resource for the construction of social support for pregnant women, by providing the availability of emotional and affective support and thus positively impacting self-perception of Cheers. Final considerations: Women's self-perception of health during pregnancy is influenced by the social support received. This interference is explained by the quality of interpersonal relationships, where the pregnant woman, when feeling supported, invests in health care, which in turn, seems to contribute to the improvement of self-perceived health. Product and applicability: The product built after scientific evidence, is intended to expand the frequency, quality and availability of social support for pregnant women, through the interaction between people in their social network to generate virtual bonds for social support pregnant women, through social support. It is believed that, in this way, as a consequence, the Apoia application will boost the improvement of self-perceived health of pregnant women. |
