Contemporary performances that address issues related to the body, gender and violence are gaining ground in feminist debates and current transfeminist theories. Violence Map reports: murder of women in Brazil - 2015 and Transgender Murder Monitoring of 2015 (TMM), show how the issue of violence is constantly present. We live in a reality of gender violence, feminicide and transphobia in Brazil. The purpose of this work is to observe these facts as well as the country's political contingencies from transfeminism concepts pointed by Jaqueline Gomes de Jesus and readings of post-critical feminism Judith Butler, Beatriz Preciado and Monique Wittig, as well as Michel Foucault, and researchers that focus the field of performance as Maria Beatriz de Medeiros and Eleonora Fabião. The proposal is to check the possibilities of dialogue between the theories of gender and performance art that addresses gender issues.
