Resumo: | The objective of this work is to demonstrate the strategies adopted for the narrationofdiasporic stories, the stories of the protagonist-narrator of the short novel A noite dos cristais(1999), Gonçalo Santanna, and the protagonist-narrator of the novel Ocrime doCaisdoValongo (2018), Muana Lómuè. Our hypothesis is that the experience and memoryofthediaspora are intertwined in the texture of these works, shaping the cartographyof thetrajectory of their protagonists and the density of their characterizations. The author of Anoitedos cristais, Luís Fulano de Tal, and the author of O Crime do Cais do Valongo, ElianaAlvesCruz, write about the diaspora, presenting the trajectory and history of enslaved people. Theauthors bring two protagonists to their narratives, and it is from the memorialisticreportsmade by the characters that the cartography is drawn. The narratives are analyzedbasedonabibliographical research. The theories of scholars from different areas, such as Literature,Sociology, Anthropology and History, helped in the construction of the sections of our work, which rely on the contributions, among others, of Avtar Brah (2011), David Brookshaw(1983), Domício Proença Filho (2004), Maurice Halbwachs (1990) and Roland Walter (2009).At the end of this thesis there is an interview we did, by email, with Luís FulanodeTal andEliana Alves Cruz. It brings important information about the authors and their works. |
