In this work we present a way of treating the converse of the Pythagoras Theorem. We will make one of the many proofs of the theorem, a proof of its converse in that we use the theorem and, finally, a proof of converse without using the theorem, only using algebraic and geometric properties. In order, we will initially focus a little on the historical part of geometry we discussed with students, usually in the eighth year of elementary school. We will present in the second chapter, basic concepts of geometry and algebra to have a better understanding of the proposed problem. With this, we intend to offer a more in-depth view of a material that can be used by elementary school teachers and that can positively influence the learning of our students.
