In this paper I propose the analysis of texts from the books Teia (2000), and Caderno de caligrafia (2003), both written by the mato-grossense writer Luciene Carvalho, according to literary criticism of female authorship studies. The study focuses on the identity theme. I consider the concept of identity formation and other reflections that permeate the feminist criticism, such as gender and patriarchy. After covering concepts of literature area that concern to female authorship, I analyze the process of differentiation and identity construction that is been processed in the texts. From the simple denial of what was ratified as the subject itself, till the complex structure of an autonomous identity, diverse of desired standards and imposed by patriarchy.
