Resumo: This work it is an evaluative research whose guiding principle is the condition of the quality of care and management of PHC. This is on the assumption that the total should be contained in the quality of care and management in primary health care construct. The study aimed to evaluate the quality of care and management of primary health care services in Health Araguaia Egrets region, state of Mato Grosso. The methodology used in the study was a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design. As an evaluation instrument used the questionnaire of the evaluation system and Quality Monitoring of Primary, QualiAB, nationally validated, applied in the Basic Health Units in the municipalities of the investigated region: Egrets do Araguaia, MT. The average quality of 29 APS participants research services in the region, distributed in seven municipalities, reached only 45% of the expected pattern (score 2.0), which means a quality level of 0.91 (on a scale of zero to two) which corresponds to a pattern below the acceptable quality. This means that UBS does not have the necessary conditions for a smooth operation. The extent of assistance that was obtained the lowest percentage quality, with an average of 44.5% of the expected. The overall average size management was 50%. The formal care model that predominates in the egrets region of Araguaia is the Family Health, but when we evaluate the categories is observed that the characteristics of this model are not preserved because the indicators to the degree of inferior quality are those who would fundamental for the implementation of this model. It is observed that the work processes of these teams do not reflect the actions that are described in the National Primary Care Policy not meet the quality criteria of APS.
