Resumo: This research Masters Program Graduate Education proposes to study the social representations of teachers in the Bachelor's Degree and Bachelor Degree in Physics from two aspects: the individual and professional perspective on their daily lives. The study was related to social representations theory by Serge Moscovici (1978) and political philosophy of Hannah Arendt. Aimed to investigate more closely who is the teacher, his conception of subject and world, what their working conditions, practices developing and to whom, and especially the identity of the teacher and their daily lives. Thus was the purpose of understanding the content and guiding elements of social representations of teachers about teaching; understand how the relationship between work and personal life is in practice and to identify the discourses on the subject characteristics of teacher identity and confront them with the representation they have of themselves. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews with 19 subjects, all teachers are Graduation Institute of Physics, Federal University of Mato Grosso. At first it was made an audio recording of interviews with the subjects' consent and then transcribe them and process them in software Analyse d'un Lexicale pair Context Ensemble de Segments de Texte - Alceste. The Alceste is a software produced by Max Reinert, in France, which lends itself to quantitative analysis of textual data. Thus, it was possible to categorize the classes of words speeches by features. The data collected from the representation of teachers, in designing the subject teacher, points out how teachers teach so much to know how so they are, namely, the subjectivity of the individual teacher and the expectations that develops their work affect the way to relate and persuade the students in the teaching and learning. In this process there is something that is actually among those surveyed, most reports can not separate the professional staff. From the vision postulated by Moscovici (1978) that the representation can translate the relation of a subject with an object, but also the relationship of a group with an object and that the representations emerge from various inter-relationships, it becomes important to know the cultural and social aspects involved in this process. In the illustrations reported, realize the elements from which it builds and develops a professional identity: being a college professor becomes secondary to the scientific scope of action, which in this case, it is of Physics. Therefore, the place where identity is deposited in specific knowledge and not necessarily on university teaching.
