Resumo: | From the 1830's onwards, the region of open frontier located in the southwest of the Goiás province was occupied by agents from Minas Gerais and São Paulo. Based primarily on the Land Parish Records, post-mortem inventories and Provincial Presidential Reports, this dissertation aims to analyze the practices of access to the properties that occurred in the threshold of the process of occupation. Therefore, I focus on the "market" of lands (or "buying" and "selling", as it appears in the documentation) for considering it the core of the occupation strategies. With the crossing of data collected from the documents and tabulated in the "Excel" spreadsheet, it was possible to relate "names" and, from there, identify different dynamics. This following by a few strands of histories that came to light through this procedure and/or from more specific documents which allowed to follow some trajectories - historiographical operation committed with the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Thompson and the downscaling of the micro-history. Thus, I intend to unveil the assembly of the everyday strategies that, at the end, assured the agricultural domain, having the "land market", in the parental and/or affective alliances, as it's main indication. This crop of period is established on the life fragments of social agents who built "all sorts" of farms on the lands that right after the occupation began to belong to a new administrative division of the province, the parish of Nossa Senhora Dores do Rio Verde. |
