Tema sociocientífico em Ciências Naturais : uma proposta de paradidático para o estudo dos agrotóxicos

Resumo: | The present study presents an investigation about the elaboration and evaluation of a paradidactic about the pesticide theme. In this sense, the guiding question of the research is presented: what are the possible contributions of the pesticide paradigm in focus, as a pedagogical strategy for the teaching of Chemistry and Biology in Basic Education, from the perspective of Chemistry and Biology teachers from a state school in the city? from Campo Verde-MT? The research approach is based on the qualitative method, based on the Case Study, being an approach that analyzes a real phenomenon, focused on the study of a particularity, considering the context in which it is inserted and the variables that influence it, thus allowing the understanding of how teachers develop their educational practices. The instruments for data collection were: questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, articles related to the pesticide theme and textbooks and chemistry and biology textbooks. Data analysis took place through Discursive Text Analysis (DTA). In order to identify works that contemplated the theme, textbooks in the area of Teaching Chemistry and Biology, approved in the PNLD 2018-2020 and paradidactic books, were analyzed. Subsequently, theoretical sources were sought, starting with the characterization of didactic resources, didactic and paradidactic books and the State of the Question on the theme. After analyzing the materials, it was possible to verify that the pesticide theme is still little addressed, even though it has a vast field for exploring alternatives for teaching and learning concepts of Chemistry and Biology. It can also be seen in a survey during data collection with the research subjects (Chemistry and Biology professors at EE Ulisses Guimarães, in Campo Verde-MT) that they consider the theme relevant, but little use it in their classes. From this perspective, the paradidmatic was shown as a possibility to join phenomena present in the reality of the students to the approach Science-Technology-SocietyEnvironment (CTSA), relating the pesticide theme with scientific knowledge of Chemistry and Biology. Thus, an educational product is proposed as a teaching strategy, in the form of a paradigmatic entitled Pesticides in Focus, in a contextualized and interdisciplinary way. To assess the effectiveness of this teaching tool (which considered the level of efficiency of the junction between technical and pedagogical aspects to the CTSA approach and its use in the classroom), the research participants answered a semi-structured evaluation questionnaire. Finally, it appears that the pesticide product in focus presents itself as a valid and profitable teaching tool, both for students and for teachers working in Basic Education in the State of Mato Grosso, which ensured the applicability of the material in the student teaching and learning process. |
