This study seeks to investigate whether there is a relationship between the healthy labor environment and sustainability. The economic development model based on the high standard of consumption and production, adopted since the Industrial Revolution, despite the benefits brought to society, brought socio-environmental impacts, as it contributed to the degradation of the environment, as well as to the quality of life and health of the population. General population, especially the worker, who is directly involved with this production model. In this perspective, the research seeks to analyze the characteristics of the risk society, giving relevance to the constant changes in the world of labor and the environment and the need to build a Socio-Environmental Rule of Law to deal with the risks present in this society. To do so, it discusses the historical evolution of the protection of workers' health and the labor environment, as well as about the company's socio- environmental function, demonstrating, next, that the realization of the right to the environment of healthy labor is a wayto achieve sustainability. At that moment, there will be an opportunity to expose some of the obstacles that prevent this right from being made effective and discuss such issues. Finally, the means that can contribute to achieving the environment of healthy labor will be pointed out and, with that, assist in the realization of sustainability, which aims to guarantee all means for a dignified life, therefore, it is essential to achieve the fundamental right to the balanced labor environment. For this result, the study used the deductive method, appropriating exploratory research, using bibliographic and documentary sources.
