Resumo: | This work is the result of research conducted during the Master of Education research line: Social Movements, Political and Popular Education. We aimed to describe and analyze the education from the experiences of women in custody. Studies and observations have been developed in the Women's Penitentiary Ana Maria do Couto May in Cuiabá. We use the following techniques: semi- structured interviews, observations and field notebook. The results were analyzed from the perspective of methodological approaches to qualitative research, in which we use the following authors: Ludke & Andrew (1996), Zago (2003) Bogdan & Bilken (1994) and Triviños (1987); Sought the phenomenological interpretation of the description and meaning of the experiences through Merleau-Ponty author (1999); on Foucault Prison (2001); Foucault power relations in (1979, 1999.2003, 2006); Machado (1979). This study sought to describe the Education for women in deprivation of liberty and the phenomenon proved in essence, the fragility of the prison environment to comply with the laws and the rights of inmates in regard to education. For even if guaranteed by law education in prisons shown timid in its application and to an exclusive system it has become more a privilege than a right. The lack of servers, classrooms without structure, own security issues are factors that contribute to the fragility of that education. Content for women inmates who wish to change education shown in its essence as the main door, to ensure better human living conditions to egressarem society. Before this finding remains the desire that education really is a human and universal rights for women in custody. |
