Resumo: | This dissertation proposes an approach to analyze religious representations in the structured history textbooks in the state of Mato Grosso in 2023. The main objective of this work is to conduct an analysis of the structured material, using images and analyses of selected excerpts from the books. Additionally, it seeks to bring theoretical contributions from renowned scholars, such as Sandra Pesavento, Eliane Moura, and Karina Belloti, to support the positioning regarding the concepts of representation and religion. The influence of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and how it has affected history classes in Mato Grosso, as well as how teachers were compelled to use the structured material in classrooms, will also be addressed. Finally, an analysis of religious representations through the images present in the didactic material was carried out, as well as the analysis of representations of African-based religions and Islam. The supplementary material created aims to assist teachers, with the objective of highlighting African-based religious practices in Brazil (Salvador) and in the state of Mato Grosso through the washing of the sacred stairs, of the Church of Bonfim and the Church of Rosário and São Benedito. |
